MORGAN LEIGH FURMAN

Morgan Leigh Furman graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Elon University School of Law. She is admitted to the Virginia Bar and is a member of the American immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Prior to joining Hyder Immigration Law, Ms. Furman practiced at Dyer Immigration Law Group. Ms. Furman previously worked in the Virginia Poverty Law Center’s Legal Assistance to Victim-Immigrants of Domestic Violence (LA VIDA) clinic.
Ms. Furman discovered her passion for serving the immigrant community through her work in the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic at Elon University School of Law. While in law school, she interned with Church World Service in Greensboro, North Carolina, and with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Durham, North Carolina. Ms. Furman distinguished herself as a Leadership Fellow and an Oak Scholar and served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Leadership and the Law.
Prior to law school, Ms. Furman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hispanic Studies and Sociology from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She also attended the Universidad Pablo De Olavide in Sevilla, Spain as part of her studies at the College of William and Mary. After college, she worked as a paralegal for two years in Richmond, Virginia.
Ms. Furman resides in Richmond, Virginia and enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, going to local farmers markets, and writing.
